  • Haftarah Yahushua tells people prepare food for in three days they will cross Yarden and take the land
  • Haftarah Reuven, Gad, and Menasheh remember promise to help their brothers take the land

This is the final Parasha of the Torah. From creation to the very gate of the promised land Yarden (Judgment). Moshe has prepared his children (Yisra'el) every step of the way for the next chapter in the book of their life. Entering In. The promised land. They have been through much up until this point. A fantastic journey of ups and downs, trials and rejoicing, hunger and plenty, to prepare them to both enter and live in the promised land. But before they can dwell in and enjoy the blessings they have to pass over Yarden and fight one more battle. They must disposess those who had the promised land before them. This is a big test and all the preparation has lead to this.

Many didn't realise they were being prepared for war. The scripture says they were not brought straight in because when they saw war and were unprepared they would have returned to Egypt.

Exo 13:17 And it came to pass, when Pharaoh had let the people go, that Elohim led them not through the way of the land of the Pelishtim, although that was near; for Elohim said, Lest peradventure the people repent when they see war, and they return to Egypt:

The journey to enter in to the promised land is one of war. War with the inhabitants already in there. I believe this journey is a spiritual journey. A journey inside of ourselves into our spirit. The war we face is with the sin and evil inside that dwells in our hearts and spirit and the Torah arms us to go in and clean out the evil within. it is by crossing over Yarden which means judgment that we go to fight the giants posessing the land promised to us. It says flesh does not inherit the promised land because Elohim is spiritual. I believe the life we are leading is a journey to teach us the judgment needed to cleans and inherit the spirit of Elohim given to us from the beginning. The breath of life which is our inheritance and portion given from Elohim.

Yisra'el is told by Moshe in this Parasha of the blessing waiting them in the promised land. Moshe is not the one who will be their leader but Yahushua. Int his same way I believe Messiah was the one who came not to teach outward and fleshly Torah observance because the people already recived that from Moshe, but he was to teach them how to put the law inward, on their inward parts. To enter in and overcome the giants inside. With the help of Messiah we would clean the inside of the cup and then the whole cup would be cleaned. When our Messiah left he had cleaned the inside of the cup and thus left the holy spirit. His work was revealed in part in His first coming. He will come a second time to rule over those holy spirits as king of kings.

The first washing was done by Moshe who was a voice in the wilderness speaking to YHWH's words to the children of Yisra'el. He was washing them with water. Cleansing the outside and preparing them to enter in. in Deut 33:2 is says:

Deu 33:2 And he said, YHWH came from Sinai, and rose up from Se'ir unto them; he shined forth from mount Paran, and he came with ten thousands of saints: from his right hand went a fiery law for them.

From His right hand (Yahushua) went a fiery law (torah). We know that Messiah will rule for a 1000 years in the millenium. And Satan is bound for a 1000 years to be let loose at the last for a final testing and battle. Where he will be destroyed and the Children of Elohim will enter into the promised land, the Kingdom of heaven. We can also see how the first millenium day the seventh day was the flood where a major judgment happened by water yet evil wasn't fully destroyed from the earth. The second judgment is one of fire and is a spiritual judgment. This whole pattern just makes me recall the words of John the immerser

Mat 3:11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that comes after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Spirit, and with fire:

Notice the baptism immerses you in something to clease you. Water cleanses the outside and fire cleanses impurities within. So John immersed you in the water (Literal Torah) which cleanses the outside and makes you new on the outside, but Messiah will baptise you or immerse you in the Holy Spirit and that will teach you the spirit of Torah and cleanse you from the inside. This is the fiery law (spirit of Torah) the right hand brought. This is the second cleansing and just as Yisra'el entered into the literal promised land they had not yet entered into the city made without hands, the true promised land of heaven. Even the scripture bears witness to the fact that Yisra'el failed to enter in the first time. But the second time they would enter in. At Messiah's first coming many were not ready spiritually to enter in and fight the spiritual sins and giants within their filthy cup but Messiah prepared those who were ready and they were helpers to their brothers who would later go in. This is like Re'uven, Gad, and Menasheh who already received their inheritance and promised to help their brothers fight the giants to enter in to their inheritance.

Luk 17:20 And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of Elohim should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of Elohim comes not with observation:
Luk 17:21 Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of Elohim is within you.

Enter in and take that good land, breathe life into the commandments of Elohim. Search the spirit of the commandments and compare it to your spirit. Find and dispossess the lawlessness and evil in your spirit and plant the spiritual Torah in your heart and receive the blessings promised to Avraham, Yitzchak, and Ya'akov. Shalom!
