Here is a great link to a website dedicated to teaching the ancient Hebrew or Paleo Hebrew. Enjoy! Right click the link below and select open in new window:

A disciple should diligently search for the truth and humbly deny and reconsider it's possession.

Jeff Benner was in Alliance, Ohio this past Shabbat for a seminar.

The study of Ancient Hebrew and the true meanings of Hebrew words will rock your world - literally. Our translations are SO weak, it's incredible. There are times when the actual meaning of a word is 180 degrees out of phase with the translations, because of the difference between the Hebrew mind and the Greek.

Hebrew thought is not concerned so much with a physical description of a thing as with its purpose.

As an example, Jeff showed a picture of a pencil and told us to describe it. People were saying things like, 'a six sided stick with a graphite rod down its longitudinal center, capped at one end with a steel ring which attaches a rubber stub for the purpose of removing mistaken entries.'

Jeff said that in Hebrew, the description is, 'a writing tool.'

He has for sale, for about $30 and among other things, an Ancient Hebrew - English lexicon that briefly explains the ancient meaning of over 2500 words.

See you on Shabbat at HHMI Beit Ya'acov on PalTalk.
