This weeks Parasha is in the book of Numbers. The Parasha is called Bamidbar which means 'in the wilderness'
God commands Moshe to take a prince of each of the twelve tribes, then gather all the people and count all the men over 20 years old who can fight for Israel, Then he organizes all the 12 tribes around the tabernacle each in the place God wants them, then he takes the people of Levi as priests to serve him in the tabernacle and counts them and tells everyone what their role is and what they are to do.
1. God counts His people!
All men over 20 years who are able to fight for Israel are counted.
Why does God count his people?
God knows everyone who are his and he looks at everything we do if it's good or bad.

What is a Standard?
Each of the twelve tribes of Israel is organized by their standard So God knows who belongs to what Family.
Make a family standard.
God's Tabernacle(dwelling place) is in the center of Israel. Who are we centered around? God! Where ever we go whatever we do he should be in the center of our hearts.
3. God draws near to him the priests who serve him in the tabernacle. He gives them all their roles.
What is a role?
Everyone is counted and put in their place. This is the place God wants them and he tells them what to do.
