I am posting these Parables or riddles so we can all reply with our studies, thoughts, and meanings by replying below. This way we can all work together to solve the parable. Use scripture when you can. Each item has a direct meaning as When Messiah explains the parables He gives us the meanings of some and other he doesn't. Please look at the eyes that see study to better understand ways to solve Parables.
Light of the World
Mat 5:14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
Mat 5:15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.
Luk 11:33 No man, when he hath lighted a candle, putteth it in a secret place, neither under a bushel, but on a candlestick, that they which come in may see the light.
Mat 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
A disciple should diligently search for the truth and humbly deny and reconsider it's possession.

This little light of mine,
I'm gonna let it shine.
Hide it under a bushel -NO!,
I'm gonna let it shine.
Let it shine that all may see,
I'm gonna let it shine - let it shine, let it shine, let it shine.
As Yeshua reveals himself to us, we are to reveal him to the world.

The question is what is the light that the world is supposed to see.
What is our light? How do we show that light to the world, how to we keep from hiding it.

There are 2 points I would like to share, One is to answer the question what is the light:
Pro 6:23 For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life:
The law is Light, this is the ramez definition. The law of course has two parts or two witnesses which is the letter and spirit as Paul explains. But unlike many interpretations that say one is different than the other, they don't realize one is greater than the other and that is the spirit but the spirit includes the letter, it actually expands it. So it told Messiah will magnify the law. He represents the spirit of the law which says if you look on a woman with lust your guilty of adultery but obviously that includes not sleeping with her.
As we learn in the parable of the virgins, they had the lamp(commandment) but lacked the oil(spirit) so no law was produced because the law is living and has both outside and inside of the cup.
The second point was Messiah said if the inside of the cup(spirit of the Law) was clean the outside would be. This also implies it as the second witness that can't be had without the first witness. He later explains this in saying any tree not bearing fruit is cast down. Match this up with what he says when He says let your light shine before men that they will see your good works and Glorify the Father in heaven
The light is proven by the good works, this is the 3rd witness, when you have the letter and spirit of Torah it will bear fruit for all to see.
Shalom
A disciple should diligently search for the truth and humbly deny and reconsider it's possession.
