Foods you wouldn't think would be unkosher!

Hello everyone, I am writing this list because over the years I have found many hidden unkosher foods. Now when I say unkosher I am referring to things with unclean animals in the ingredients not necessarily ones not under the scrutiny of rabbinic law. I will add to this list as time permits.

Wine - many wines use geletin from pork to clarify the wine and then later filter out the gelatin. For me this is not OK it has defiled the wine. Frey makes a wine that is not certified kosher but is organic and vegan and uses bentonite clay (earth) to filter it and the nice thing is there are no sulfites added to it so it's not adulterates with preservatives. You can chak out their wines at www.freywine.com Highly reccomended. As for other wines that are OK beringer wines are ok some companies reds are ok and not their whites or the other way arouns so you might want to phone the maker of your favorite wine. Yellow tail shiraz is Ok and baron Herzog makes kosher certified wines for passover and regular kosher wines. The nice thing is they are not just the sweet wines but regular styles.

guacamole - many brands have gelatin in them.

Cheesecake - many use Gelatin

Vitamins or pills - The gelcaps are yes, Gelatin. Go for vegi caps.

I will continue the list later...
A disciple should diligently search for the truth and humbly deny and reconsider it's possession.
